Our dedication is conveyed by attentive handling with our available capital.
That means: 

• Our capital is accordingly to the local situation expedient and enduring invested

• Our support conduces to self-help

• Our collaboration is based on a friendly relationship between all members

• The constant contact between each member offers us the possibility to be immediately responsive to unexpected difficulties

• The sustained yield has a big weight in relation to the investment of the capital.

We subdivided the advancement of our projects into three categories, but the main point of our work is the support of kindergartens and children, who are in need:

1. Maitreya-Projects: These Projects, at present they are eight, are meant to support kindergarten-buildings, the lunch for the children, the wages of the kindergarteners, the wages of the social workers as well as the support of the infrastructure of the village, if it is requested and needed, but also the support of single persons, who are really poor, for example: students, old or disabled persons. Maitreya-Projects are not influenced by ulterior money. 
   
   The quality of the basic food, gets balanced according the necessities of the children.

   The age-appropriate and united education of the children involving of the parents are the central focus.
   
   High quality of building measures is very important for us, because, the buildings have to bear the climate (heat, monsoon) as well as arrears of over floods and typhoons.
   
   If we build up fountains for the drinking water supply of our kindergartens, we dimension them the way, that the villagers are also supplied with clean drinking water.
   
   The hygienic conditions of the huts of the villagers in the ambit of our kindergartens should be improved by product rages of the roofs and the clearance of the huts.
   
   Young persons should get scholarship, to be able to visit schools and training schools, if their parents cannot afford the education. 
   
   

2. Plumvillage-Projects: This project work was founded in the late 1950s by opening a social working school by Thich Nhat Hanh in Saigon. Since then Plumvillage in France supports with international help many projects in Vietnam. The Maitreya-Fonds supports these projects since 1992, because especially at the beginning there was not enough money for own projects. Until today there are many projects, which are supported by Plumvillage as well as by the Maitreya-Fonds, for example: the wages are sponsored by the Maitreya-Fonds and the food by Plumvillage.
   
   

3. Other Projects: Rarely we support projects, which are mostly financed by the government, or sponsored by other investors, but if there is a lack of money (e.g.: a communally Kindergarten is nearly finished but there is no more money to buy a kitchen, so the children have hygienic food) we help them.
   

   Our aim is it, to build up new Maitreya-Projects based on the network of the Plumvillage-Projects. As soon as the Projects reach a high standard, we give them the chance to get autonomous, in order to invest our asset in new projects.
